I just want to give a quick update on what is going on in Honduras. We are pretty busy this weekend (see below), so this will be kept short. I also have attached a link to view many more photos from our trip here:
Here is just a quick update of what is going on in Honduras:
Today a construction team is arriving from Grace Baptist Church in Knoxville. They will be working on the Dream Center downtown this coming week. When they leave, we hope to have plumbing, 3 meeting rooms for small groups, and the storage space for upstairs completed. This is the first week Kelsey and I will be here with a team, so we expect everything to be a little different!
This morning was Super Sabadazo! Its a big kids party that takes place at La Mesa each month for kids ages 5 to 12. The kids sing songs, eat pizza, hear a short message, and play LOTS of games. Today we also passed out school supplies to everyone.

In June 22 we started a weekly Bible club for boys and girls grades 3 through 6. Alex and I have the boys, while Cristy, Clare and Kelsey have the girls. The past 2 weeks we have spent time breaking down Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. What an awesome verse! God didn't just say "I love you," and then leave us in our sin and shame with no hope. He demonstrated how much He loved us. He showed His love to us in an unimaginable way! That is true love! The discussions with the kids have gone better than we could have expected. Many of the kids here know a little bit of scripture. Some even attend church. However, many are taught about a very legalistic and mean God, not a God who loves them and wants an intimate relationship with them. We pray these kids not only can quote a few verses, but that they experience the love of Christ in a way that leaves them with no other answer but to follow Him! I encourage you all to be praying about this Bible group in the coming weeks.

Finally, Thank you to everyone back in the states for the continued prayers. We love all of you! The bus with the team is literally pulling in right now, so I have to go carry luggage!
Thanks for checking in!
